Rizu
Takahashi… Workshop and Exhibition ‘Potters Tea Party’
Following the success
of Kigbeare’s first Masterclass Workshop last year, we are privileged to
announce the return of my good friend, the charismatic and exceptional Japanese
potter Rizu Takahashi.
Having had kilns in
both Bizen and Mino areas of Japan, he has developed his own unique style which
has given him an international reputation. Since moving to the South of France
in 2004, Rizu has become renowned throughout Europe, not only for his
distinctive style of work and exhibitions, but also for his workshops and tea
ceremony demonstrations.
Rizu will be sharing
his extensive range of techniques both thrown and hand built with his own
expressive and spontaneous style.
Alongside Rizu’s
Masterclass Workshop we will be opening the Kigbeare Gallery for the ‘Potters Tea
Party’ Exhibition which will feature the Yunomis and Tea Pots of 11
international potters.
